More On Big Annie

In addition to the exhibit outlined in the previous blog post, Big Annie’s legacy will also be honored in a forthcoming ceremony.  On July 26, 2013 at 7 pm Big Annie will be inducted into Labor’s International Hall of Fame.  Nominated for her contributions during the 1913 copper strike, Annie will be one of three women inducted into the hall of fame in the 2013 induction group.  Coming just a few days after the 100th anniversary of the start of the strike, this event is open to the public and will serve as a wonderful way to kickoff the centenntial celebrations of the copper miners’ strike.
