FinnFest 2013 – Strike Related Programming

FinnFest 2013 returns to the Copper Country next week, with programs and events taking place June 19-June 23.  In addition to the Tori Markets, Finnish food, dance, music, and overall cultural adventures, the FinnFest program also features a wonderful series of programs pertaining to the strike.  The FinnFest lecture and film series includes new perspectives on Italian Hall, discussions of radical Finns, and readings and performances pertaining to the duration of the strike.  In addition, the film 1913 Massacre: A Film Inspired by a Woody Guthrie Song will be screened on the Michigan Tech campus at Fisher Hall.  For more information about the upcoming strike events at FinnFest please check out the Calendar of Events page on this website or view the FinnFest 2013 website for program and registration information.
